Ink Thunder
An expressive ink horse study created with traditional pencil, graphite and ink, supported by Apple Vision Pro as a reference-positioning tool.
This work explores how technology-assisted reference and hand-rendered brushwork can come together to create motion, energy and cultural symbolism.
The challenge
The main challenge was being honest with the process while still pushing the artwork beyond a simple copy. Since the reference was visually guided through Apple Vision Pro, I had to make sure the final piece still showed my own hand, control and artistic decisions through the brushwork, contrast and composition.

The solution
I treated the technology as a guide, not the final artwork. After setting up the reference, I used pencil, graphite and ink to build the drawing by hand, focusing on expressive lines, bold contrast and movement. This allowed me to learn from the reference while still making the final piece feel energetic, personal and physically crafted.
