Every project should begin with a clear intention, rooted in solving real problems and adding meaningful value. For us, design is not just about aesthetics, but about creating experiences that resonate with people and make their lives better. By asking “why” before “how,” we ensure that our work is always guided by a sense of purpose. This philosophy reminds us that great design balances beauty with function, leaving a lasting impact beyond visuals.
Visual Imagination
My interest in design started from being fascinated by ordinary places and objects, and imagining how art could transform them into something memorable. I am driven to become an experience and media designer who turns spaces, stories and visuals into experiences people want to enter, explore and remember. Through AEP, I explored animation, ink, painting, photography and design, and won second place school-wide for my 2026 CNY ink horse drawing. Since 2022, I trained in observational graphite and academic realism. I built www.helloyihan.com to show my works and creative direction.
Passion
My passion is combining visual imagination with technical drawing skill. I love creating story ideas, settings, characters, moods and worlds, then using drawing and design to make them feel clear and believable. I want to become a visual development artist and media designer for games, animation and VFX. Through AEP, I explored animation, ink drawing, painting, photography and design, and won second place school-wide for my 2026 CNY ink horse drawing. Talents/Achievements Description
I am a media-course applicant aiming to become a visual development artist and media designer. In AEP, I completed 3D clay animation, fashion design, mural design, painting, ink drawing and photography, including collaborative animation and school display works.
I built my portfolio website, www.helloyihan.com to present my AEP and personal works.
For the 2026 AEP CNY Class Decoration Drawing Competition, my traditional Chinese ink wash horse painting on canvas with the word ma was awarded Second Place school-wide.
I also created a community-themed artwork for the Our Heart For Singapore OHFSG 2021 national arts initiative, featured on the official Art For Cause OHFSG platform and recognised as part of the programme associated with the National Museum of Singapore exhibition.
Since 2022, I have taken structured observational graphite and academic realism training to build proportion, tone and accuracy.
In Band CCA, I played clarinet and represented BPGHS at SYF 2025.
